Artist's Note:
Hiking around the Uvas Reservoir in the San Francisco Bay Area, I felt disappointment growing inside of me. Nothing seemed to be working out on this day. The lighting was harsh, and I couldn’t find any interesting subjects to photograph, so I packed up my gear and started to make an early journey homewards. Two hikers passed me on the trail. Then, just before I reached my car, I turned around one last time--just in case I could spot any interesting compositions or light. To my surprise, both appeared.
